6'4" St. Benedict's guard James Mathis has made an early decision to attend Niagara University. James is somewhat of a sleeper since he missed last season with an injury. James had an impressive summer with the Newark Rams AAU team, catching the eyes of the Niagara staff among others. The long athletic combo guard has a real solid upside and good be a factor down the road in the M.A.A.C. for the Purple Eagles. James is one of the Division 1 prospects on the powerful St. Benedict's program under new coach Danny Hurley.
