6'3" sharpshooting guard Dom Mejia from Eastern H.S. in Voorhees NJ has given a commitment to Rutgers Coach Gary Waters. NJ Hoops saw the lanky guard with great range afain this weekend at the Gym Rats Midnight Madness where he was one of the leading scorers in the National All American game with 5 treys. Dom was one of the three highest rated available Srs. in NJ. As a So. Dom averaged 13.8 ppg and was an underclass All Star @ Eastern Invitational Camp Week 3. As a Jr. Dom averaged 21.3 ppg. This summer Dom averaged a team high 21.0 ppg, 3rd highest overall at the 64 team Metro Classic. Dom was also one of the MVP's of the 1st annual NJ Hoops Showcase. Dom picked Rutgers over Seton Hall, Penn State, Hartford and Siena.
