6'0" Mike Lasme of Burlington Life Center has made a verbal commitment to attend UMass. Mike is an ultra-athletic whirlwind with the ball who is rapidly gaining point guard skills. Mike was rated as the 5th best Sr. in NJ in the June NJ Hoops Newsletter. A native of the Ivory Coast, Mike has played summer ball the past few years for Frank Berg and the NJ All Stars. Mike led Burlington Life to a 20 - 6 season, averaging 18 ppg. According to Burlington Life Coach, Darryl Gladden, "Mike had a good relationship with Coach Lappas and his staff. Liked the location and quality of competeition they play." "Mike played really well at Nike and is improving on an almost daily basis." Mike also strongly considered LaSalle, Cincinnati, Mississippi St., Colorado, and Seton Hall."
